A musical compilation of some of the classic 8 bit game tunes. Performed by the Video Games Live orchestra. Also check out the Metal Gear Solid music: www.youtube.com
I may be like 16, but we didn’t have a lot of money back then. So I got a hand me down NES with a lot of games. And at 5 years old, it made my childhood! Now, I’ve got my NES, SNES, sega gen, sega sat, Atari 2600, Xbox, Xbox 360, ps1,2,3 and full arcade cabinets of Donkey Kong, and(of course) PAC Man! And it all started with one hand me down NES.
@FadeingShadow
I’ve played games since my youth and i agree that these soundtracks are amazing, but just stop cheering and clapping during performance so you can enjoy it even more, sometimes the cheering is so loud you cant hear the music for a few seconds.
i hope i didn’t hurt ur feeling too much there, enough raging =)
Those games made me feel old. Me and a friend of mine had a conversation while playing Modern Warfare 3 about how we would like to see the younger kids play games like Contra. See if they beat that as easy as most of us could. Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A. It’s been 20+ years since I used that code.
@Cameraman2 you must be like 10 years old that who hasnt played these games and therefor dont have any relations to them. People are cheering cus its games from their youth, and since its a consert with nostalgic games, i guess its expected that you are gonna be able to cheer… Or maybe you sit/stand quiet untill the band stops playing on a rock/pop/othermusic concerts too?:D Is not frikin mozart and like the London Philharmonic Orchestra!
The organizers of the venue TELL the audience to feel free to laugh, shout, etc. “This should be fun, so go ahead and shout if you like something.” So they were actually encouraged to be noisy.
Great fun. I highly suggest attending a video games live performance if you can–I’d go again any day.
@azamonde Exactly, I don’t get why people are whining about the laughing! It’s pure nostalgia, this video. Even my buddies at home were cheering like WHOAAAA I REMEMBER THAT GAME. Why wouldn’t you, at the concert, where it has so much more impact than it does on Youtube. Grow a pair, guys.
