Thanks RTNP, the synth sound I refer to is the progressive chords repeating though out. I know the sound because I was in a “club” in San Francisco around 1978 and was watching a beauty
dancing and this sound was working behind her…I have been haunted for years by both. Can we go back to the producer and explore this mystery sound? I have given up on the dancer years ago.
This track was produced by QD3, one of the first producers that use real instruments in his beats, the syntheziser is probably played on Minimoog which was very popular in early 90′s (especially in G-Funk).
Evelyn “Champagne” King – The Show Is Over is the main inspiration for this G-Funk heat. In my opinion the G.O.A.T
Remember one thing, “You Know How We Do It” was recorded with instruments like: syntheziser, rhodes (e-piano), bass guitar, electric guitar.
Yo Jus stop fighting about who’s real(Obviously Ice Cube) an who’s fake(New school its self)an just enjoy the music besides your missing the vidoe because your reading this comment o.o
this track is swank…can someone tell me what sample is used for the synthisizer background.
the liner notes only credit “the show is over”. I have heard the sample before and can’t find out where? thanks for your help…I missed seeing Ice in Oakland Ca. at the uptown, did any one see the show last year?
