Etan Interview

Posted by lunatic On March - 21 - 2011

Etan3

Etan began making music at 12 years old and never looked back. Music is in his roots and in his blood as his father was a well known reggae singer in Jamaica and performed with The Wailers among others.

Growing up in Marin County in the bay area (near San Francisco and Richmond), by no means was Etan confided to his neighborhood. Promoting for a lot of shows in the area, Etan fell in love with hip-hop.

Etan’s new single “Go Time” can be found on Youtube and look out for the releases of at least three music videos in the near future.

Enjoy.

A Rising Star In Canada

Posted by lunatic On March - 1 - 2011

HazeEnt

In 2009, the hip-hop world was introduced to the next big artist out of Canada. Known by the name of Koncreto, aka Koncreet, this Vancouver-raised artist has worked with some of hip-hop’s elite artists, such as Crooked I (3 times), Glasses Malone (3 Times), Ya Boy (3 Times), Bizzy Bone (3 Times), San Quinn, Lil Flip, C-Bo, Tq, B Legit, Shade Sheist, Dresta, Spider Loc, Cyssero, Phat Rat, Big Fase 100, Tha Vill, Tha Realest, XL Middleton, Qwes Kross and many more. In fact, no one in western Canada has more big name features than Koncreto.

A Dominican native, Koncreto’s ability to rap in Spanish separates him from anyone else in western Canada. His Spanish album features many of Dominican’s biggest reggaeton artists, thus making Koncreto one of the best Spanish artists in all of Canada, as well as being highly known for his American tracks. With hit records like “Mr. International” featuring Glasses Malone, Koncreto is sure to be an asset to any label.

Koncreto is affiliated with Haze Ent., a mixtape DJ who won 2009’s ‘West Coast Canadian Mixtape DJ of the Year’ at the West Coast Hip-Hop Awards held in Portland, Oregon, making Haze Ent. the first Canadian to ever be nominated. At the 2010 Westcoast Hip-Hop Awards in San Francisco, Haze Ent defended his ‘Westcoast Canadian Mixtape Dj Of The Year’ award, as well as winning and award for ‘Canadian Hip Hop Album Of The Year’ for “California Dreamin” hosted by Dj Ill Will.

Haze Ent. has spent years coordinating collaborations with hip-hop legends for his artists Koncreto, Flawless Mac, 14 year old Lil Dominican G, and 10 year old Derrick Ortiz, Which make up the group “Sonido Solido”. Haze Ent.’s album California Dreamin, hosted by DJ Ill Will, was released in February 2010 and contains 100% original material from all of his artists.

2010 has been a big year for both Haze Ent. and Koncreto as Vancouver hosted the Olympics Winter Games. It’s time for someone to emerge as the powerhouse in the northwest, and Haze Ent. is in the running to land a deal with an American record label in the same way that Kardinal Official and Drake did coming out of the East coast.

The Summer of 2010 brought the release of the “Koncreto” Double Disc album Hosted by reality tv star Nick Hogan and New Yorks Dj Lgee. The Pacific North West is talking about “Fuck Them Pay Me.”  Koncreto has opened for Fat Joe, Shade Sheist, Canadian legend Choclair, and has rocked over 320 packed clubs.

After winning Canadian mixtape DJ of the year at the 2009 West Coast Hip Hop Awards, and defending it in 2010, while also winning Canadian Hip Hop Album Of The Year at the 2010 awards. Haze Ent has been known to rake in more big west coast features than anyone else in Western Canada. With a method that brings in so many verses by allowing these west coast super star artists to gain notoriety throughout the Canadian market; Haze Ent has put together a successful strategy and game plan for the future.

Here is one of Haze Ent’s first big releases of 2011 with a feature from Lil Flip called, “Like Oh” which is now available on iTunes..
